How to make a wooden cigarette case
The cigarette case is made of cherry wood, walnut or mahogany wood, combined with a heat-treated ash tree (dark brown parts). The capacity of the wooden cigarette box is 10 cigarettes.
The door for inserting cigarettes into the cigarette case forms a whole, using a wooden hinge and a magnet that prevents the cigarette case from opening when you don't want to. Cigarette openings are profiled along their entire length so that each cigarette has its own place.
The wood is protected by oil that is specially adapted for contact with food and has no toxic properties. The final coating is made with a combination of beeswax and vegetable waxes, which leaves a silky feeling in contact with the skin....

My Homemade Table Saw Part 1
Просмотров 6 тыс.2 года назад
After a long study of various solutions for making table saws, I came to this variant, which proved to be optimal for my needs. Stable construction allows precise operation without vibrations. The 2.2 KW asynchronous electric motor provides enough power to cut hardwood up to 70 millimeters thick. The 250 mm diameter saw blade rotates at 4900 rpm, so the linear speed is about 64 m / s. I´ve used...

How to Make a Zero Setter

How to Make a Zero Setter Almost always when working with carpentry machines, you need a "zero" or reference point, in relation to which the processing is done by cutting, milling, scraping, etc. The Zero Setter just allows you to set a zero point. The principle I used is a much more objective and precise solution that minimizes the possibility of errors. I came up with the idea of making this ...

    Great performance. I have one piece of advice for saving time, as far as metal constructions we make for ourselves are concerned, and they are also valid where aesthetics are not crucial. When I cut the parts of the construction that need to be welded, I arrange all the parts best on two "goats" with a distance of approximately how thick they are (of course, prepared for painting). I paint two surfaces at the same time with the base paint gun, when it dries I turn and spray the other two. so I save both time and paint. I repeat the same with the final color. Then (of course after drying) I weld the painted parts, of course the paint on the weld burns but I sand it and again paint with a paint brush, believe me, it is not noticed. Maybe this is ugly for someone, but for me, there is nothing worse than painting a ready-made complicated construction. A lot of paint is scattered with a gun, and it lasts a long time with a brush, and I always grab a fresh paint somewhere with my hand and it looks uglier to me personally. Of course, it is easiest to put on plastic coating, which will increase the price and prolong the time. Greeting!

    Odlična izvedba. Imam jedan savet za uštedu vremena, što se tiče metalnih konstrukcija koje pravimo za sebe a vrede i tamo gde estetika nije presudna. Kad isečem delove konstrukcije koje treba zavariti, poređam sve delove najbolje na dva "jarca" sa razmakom otprilike kolika im je debljina (naravno pripremljene za farbanje). Farbam osnovnom bojom pištoljem istovremeno dve površine, kad se prosuši okrenem i prešpicam druge dve. tako uštedim i vreme i farbu. Isto to ponovim i sa završnom bojom. Zatim (naravno posle sušenja) tako ofarbane delove zavarujem, naravno farba na varu izgori ali to prešmirglam i ponovo četkom obojim verujte ne primećuje se. Možda je ovo nekome ružno ali za mene nema gore stvari nego farbati gotovu komplikovanu konstrukciju. Pištoljem se razbacuje mnogo boje a četkom traje dugo i uvek negde rukom uhvatim za svežu boju i meni lično ispadne ružnije. Naravno najlakše je dati na plastifikaciju što će povećati cenu i produžiti vreme. Pozdrav!

    This is EXACTLY the shop built tool im looking for, so thankful you sell plans. Is there a limit on the oscillation stroke length? I'm mostly using 3 inch wide pieces and would love a little more coverage if that's not going to stress the belt too much.

    • @WoodenWorldDenic
      @WoodenWorldDenic 3 года назад

      The vertical stroke of the tape is + - 0.4", so that at all times 5.12" of tape is in contact with the object of processing, which is quite enough for objects with a width of 3". Linear bearings allow a stroke of 3.15" so it is theoretically possible to increase the vertical stroke of the belt, but I have not tried that. I assume that the oscillations of the drive belt in this situation would increase and cause it to wear more.

    In woodworking there is no need for that kind a accuracy because wood moves, enough with finger-feel and eye-measurement. for CNC that would be ok to have, metal lathe yes...

      Thank You for comment ARV VIL, But, why give up precision, if it is possible to get it relatively cheaply? Besides, plywood, plastic and other materials that do not have as large dimensional deviations as wood, can be processed on the router table.
